DICK’S — To Whom It May Concern
Historically for the Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation we had documented a real story of a team that needed help and surprised them with equipment and funding. This year we were looking to tell more of a brand story and help punctuate what the Foundation was really about. We had research that proved that funding for sports was being cut at an alarming rate. So we took that insight and dramatized it.
To whom it may concern: Every kid deserves a chance to play. But all over America, in the most vulnerable communities, youth sports are disappearing at an alarming rate. Teams are cut, fields are neglected, and kids are left behind.

Assets for the Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation
We used the imagery and content captured on the shoot for the next year’s worth of assets for the Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation and their Sports Matter initiative. Everything from social, in-store, website to weekly circulars in the newspapers.
And the craziest part about this shoot was we didn’t art direct the spaces. We showed up in Birmingham, Alabama and that’s exactly how they were, completely abandoned and shuttered.
